Baby Quilt pattern suggestions?

Anyone a regular sewer and make baby quilts?

I am looking for a simple pattern that could include squares decorated by friends and family and then be sewn together in a simple and easy pattern.

Suggestions? Tips?

I have used the basic idea of this free McCalls quilt pattern http://www.mccallsquilting.com/patterns/details.html?idx=13564 to make a baby quilt. I had a fabric with largish animals on it and for the middle bit I alternated animal squares with other fabrics. Hope that makes sense. You could do something similar with decorated squares.
