My 15 month old DS started walking 2 weeks ago. Yay! Even after 2 weeks of walking indoors & outside, he still has that slightly unsteady gait. Also, he tend to fall a bit, particularly first thing in the mornings and whenever he's very tired.

Is this normal?? Wondering how long little ones take, when learning to walk start to walk very confidently??

He's fine! Ask again if he's still unsteady in six months......

Very normal. My 2 yo is still unsteady when he just wakes up or is tired.

Oh yeah, it's going to be a long time, like 6 months to a year before he loses that toddler walk. Don't stress! He's still learning!

2 weeks? He's still a brand new walker. It sounds perfectly normal to me. At 3.5 years old, the majority of DDs falls and accidents still happen when she's getting tired.

Totally normal!!! It took my girls nearly a year to become proficient walkers and for me to stop worrying about falling so frequently.

Um, totally normal. DD started walking around the same time (14-15mo) and even now at 18mo she still falls pretty often. She walks well now but any little thing could knock her down VERY easily...actually am trying to teach this to her 2yo older brother who doesn't get that playful pushing etc can easily knock her off her feet, and she's still not as steady as he is :)
