I got a 15% off PBK email today and ordered the Gotz 18 inch doll for DD for Christmas. :boogie: I also ordered a dress they had on sale for $10. I want to get some more clothes and some accessories and I'm wondering which you child plays with the most. I only want to get 1 maybe 2 things for now so what is the most favorite accessory your child's 18 inch doll has?
Thanks

DD's getting her first AG-fake for Christmas.

We're starting with a loft bed (hoping my dad can make it, if not, will buy it from a local wood-worker), and a "glass"(plastic)-front closet/wardrobe thingy that I am making for all the clothes that my sister is sewing. Oh, and a salon chair that we found at Wal-mart on clearance for $15.

I think this will give her a fair beginning, and since her birthday is only 2 months past Christmas, I imagine people will buy her AG-fake things then as well.

For what it's worth, Wal-mart has a new line of dolls/accessories that are a little cheaper than Toys R Us and Target, but are just as cute, IMO.

I picked the loft bed because DD has a loft bed, and I thought she would have a space then for the doll to go to bed, a desk on the side of the bed, and that it could be a part of a lot of play situations/storylines.

salon chair. My girls also play with their dolls and our doctor kit.

I got some great little adventures doll dresses from the little dress up shop

DD plays with the wheelchair and cast the most. Hers is Journey Girls from TRU. Next would be a salon chair, and then beds.

She is not into dressing them for the sake of dressing them. She wants them to have a purpose - so she has inline skates, a swim suit, pajamas (matches hers), guitar. She is not at all into pretty doll dresses, even though she loves dressing herself :).

She is getting the AG bar and beam for Christmas. The reviews say it has good play value and little girls enjoy it. I hope so!

This is a small thing but make sure you get a good doll wig brush and a spray bottle for brushing hair.

The top 3 favorite accessories that my daughter plays with are: good doll brush (she's styling the hair a lot), doll wheelchair with the cast kit, and a doll bed.

Yes to the brush and spray bottle as well. Maybe elastics, etc for doing hair too.

Does anyone have one of these clip on chairs for the table? Any thoughts on it?
Thanks

All you mommies who recommended a brush, where is the best place to buy one?

Any specific recs for this? I'm interested too!

I'm also thinking of getting one of these doll beds-

Journey Girls Loft Bed

or

Badger Basket Bunk Bed with Armoire

Not sure which to get. The JG reviews worried me regarding durability, broken/cracked pieces, too small chair for 18" dolls, and overall quality. But it looks fun and modern. The Badger Basket seems to get better consistent reviews, and the armoire seems handy.

Decisions, decisions.

I picked up two of these wig brushes at Sally Beauty today and two little spray bottles from Target. The brushes work great and don't pull the AG hair out.
