Please recommend books similar to "Where the sidewalk ends"

I just got this book after DD begged for it. We just got it and DD read a few poems to me - it is an awesome book!!

I only know Shel Silverstein from the Giving Tree which is not a fave of mine. But this book is soooo funny. Like Seuss for 2nd graders :)

I would love to get more recs for books like this. I looked on Amazon and they have recommended some of his other books.

Would love opinions on those and any other recommendations.

Shel Silverstein has a lot of books. DD1 brought home "Everything On It" the other day.

One of my favorite books of his is "Giraffe and a Half." It's my go-to mystery reader book. :D

Same here. Not only does DS love all of his books, but they were favorites of mine and my sister's when we were kids.

You might also try Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories. "How the Elephant Got Its Trunk" is one of my all-time favorites.

A Pizza the Size of the Sun is a great book by Jack Prelutsky.

Douglas Florain's books are also great. My students love Lizards, Frogs, and Polliwogs.
