We are getting new siding and DH would like have more insulation blown into the existing exterior walls. This would be for energy savings and heat of course. We get a lot of wind off a field we are next to and the boys room in particular is cold in the winter.

Was it worth it? We know that the ROI is not going to be huge, but we are more looking for whether it helped with the chill/etc.

TIA!

We didn't have any insulation added, but when we replaced our siding, they put housewrap on and that made a huge difference in our heating/cooling.

Our exterior walls did have insulation for the living areas, but the garage exterior walls did not. Which is crazy since there are bedrooms above the garage. We put insulation in the garage exterior walls and did new garage doors. It made a huge difference in the comfort level of the bedrooms above the garage. It felt like that first winter the garage was consistently 10 degrees warmer than it had been the winter before with the same outside temps. Nice for the bedrooms, getting in our vehicles and the living area right next to the garage especially.
