soliciting opinions here - this is on sale at Piperlime. I generally love Splendid, and don't have anything like this (to wear with the great Kohl leggings I got that were recommended on here, and my Frye Veronica's that I got that were recommended on here). But does it look too much like a blanket? Honest opinions please.

I would be wearing it on the weekends, to football games, and evening stuff at DD's school. Seems to be a lot of evening events, and the private school mom crowd is kinda trendy. I am older, 43, and a size 4-6. I like fashion a lot - not cutting edge fashion -- but I love to shop and put a premuim on looking put together. I can see myself wearing this... but not sure why I am hesitating buying it??

I think it would would look like a blanket if you were on the bigger size. I think since you are slender, it would look good. Cozy yet fashionable.

:yeahthat:

I could never wear it, but I've seen other women rock the look.

I love the style and colors in that sweater. I would absolutely get it if I were taller and lived in a place cooler than Florida. But at my height (under 5'3") I fear it would swallow me up like a bathrobe, and we just don't have enough days of snuggly sweater weather to justify the purchase.

I like it except for the way the sleeves end. They are not 3/4 or full length and look very much like a bath robe. I like the colors!

I think it looks like a bathrobe too

(said with my usual "I am not a fashionista" disclaimer).

How tall are you? If you are taller, I think that you could swing it. However, if you are shorter, I think that this sweater might overwhelm your baby frame and just look like a robe.

I have lots of "blankie" sweaters like that splendid one and I love to wear them with leggings/cords/jeans and boots in cold weather so I say go for it :):

I know I am not the only one who saw that sweater and thought of Arivecchi.

I'd wear blanket sweaters all year round if I could and - splendid - sold! ;)

My girlfriend has that sweater in a different colorway. Oh my goodness is it soft and comfy. She looks absolutely adorable in it, and is very short and petite. If you are taller, all the better. It is definitely one of her favorites, and seems like the perfect comfy, yet not sweats, sweater.

Thank you all for the comments. I pushed the button (so easy to do on Piperlime) and will maybe post some pics and you all can let me know what you think of it on? I am no beanpole, but am just over 5'6" so maybe I can pull it off - but maybe not. Thanks again!

I think you can pull it off. If your short and roundish (I have to add the ~ish) like me, it would look like a robe. It needs some height and a slender frame. The first I'll never have, the 2nd I'm working on :tongue5:

Did you end up getting this? How is it? I saw Piperlime is having a "birthday" sale today and it looks cute. I'm 5'7 and 130 pounds. It looks cute on the site, but wondering how you're liking it real life. We're in California, so I don't need jackets but I do love sweaters!
