MY FIL rescued it!! He had to buy a wrench too since we couldn't find ours. And DH also bought me a bracelet that was too small but we resized it over the weekend and I'm wearing it now and will NEVER take it off! Well, I probably will but I also immediately put the pendant back on the original chain and will not futz with it ever again.

DH bought me jewelry for my birthday. That was amazing. He hasn't bought me any jewelry in 7 years. In the past I believe he said something to the effect of, "Why do you need another necklace? How many necks do you have anyway?"
I had the necklace all of two hours. He said I might want to change the chain. I was putting the pendant on a new chain when it slipped out of my hands and went directly down the drain! I spent an hour trying to get the J pipe unattached to see if I could get it out and can't budge it. My FIL may be able to do it this weekend but I feel awful. He hardly ever buys me presents, let alone jewelry, but he's been really trying since we discovered our Love Languages. And I go and screw it up. :(
