I have some pasteurized apple cider and she has just finished lunch. We don't do much juice and when I have it's been from the baby aisle and nothing added. This says 100% juice and ingredients are apple cider, potassium sorbate, and sodium benzoate. Doesn't sound great, but are a few sips ok? It's not organic. Anything about cider that makes it not ok?

I don't think there is anything wrong -- like going to cause illness etc but I personally wouldn't give a 10 month old juice or cider. Just my 2 cents :)

Additionally I wouldn't give non organic apple anything due to pesticide use. I think it was a little while back about arsenic in apple juice so would be concerned about cider as well.

Yes, you can give a few sips for flavor. No problem. I wouldn't make it a significant source of daily calories, but it's a lovely fall treat for an infant.

Thanks to all the replies. I didn't end up giving it this time, but think I will give her a few sips if we have it again. Will try to get organic though!
