I've been considering getting an HDTV antenna so I have more viewing options. Okay, I'll admit I want to be able to watch Downton Abbey when it airs on PBS instead of waiting for Netflix. :D

Anyone have a recommendation?

I bought this the picture is amazing, the price is just incredible. I swear it works. Heck, if it doesn't for this price throw it in the trash.

Sorry to thread jack, but have a question. Will this work for a tv in a location with no cable available? I don't have a cable outlet in my kitchen and don't want to pay for installation or for another box (verizon fios service). Can I just hook it right into a little LCD tv in the kitchen with only a power outlet? I've been wanting a tv in there for years to watch the news while cooking etc.

I have this one. Super easy, works great, we get a lot of channels (more than a dozen).

It does not need to be near a cable jack.

This is what we got based on recommendations the last time this was discussed here. I know it all depends on positioning and proximity to towers and clear lines of sight, etc...but for us it worked GREAT on the first try and DH is so happy to have football and some baseball again! LOL. It is bizarre how what seems like just a laminated piece of paper can do this (yup - it's that thin).

We just bought a mid priced one from the chain hardware store and installed it in the garage attic. It works great.
