So crazy, but he writes for a college football blog and they asked him to face off a Stanford blogger (it's Big Game Week).

DH is the guy in the suit, not the guy in the t-shirt who looks like he's in his mom's basement. :ROTFLMAO:

Please don't quote this as I want to remove the actual link later since it features his real name.

So cool! Your DH is smart and cute! Even if I wasn't a Bears fan I would totally take his word over unkempt basement dude.

Did they do this over Skype?

Go Bears!

So cool! Your DH definitely looked better and was more well-spoken than sloppy couch boy. (Though I still have to root for Stanford, sorry! ;))

That's so cool! I'm not a football person (but my DH is a nutso), that's like every guy's dream to be on ESPN to give his opinion! Oh and yeah, your DH looks way more put together than the guy living in his mama's basement, lol.

Very good job done by your DH. I just don't understand the dressing down of so many people these days. I dont' always walk around ready to be on camera at any time but I certainly wouldn't show up for a TV gig wearing casual clothing. Good for your DH to look professional and like he belongs on TV doing analysis.

Thanks everyone! I am so proud of him. Yes, it was really low-budget--they did it over Skype and he could barely hear the hosts' questions. He didn't even realize the co-host had named him "winner" at the end, so that's why he didn't react. Plus, DH also had nothing to look at but a blank Skype screen (so he also didn't know what the other guy looked like until it aired).

I am so glad I made him do a practice Skype call with me so I could check lighting and posture. I added another light into his "man cave" and suggested he sit up straight and not lean back. The other guy obviously did not do that.

I think the Stanford guy was obviously a college student or right out of college. Most of the ESPN bloggers they have dressed pretty casually even on the mid day programs if they actually make it on air; most of the time they just call in.

I understood single words. Ball. Win. Run. I have NO IDEA what they are talking about! But even without understanding what the heck they were talking about, it was clear your DH won hands down!

Your DH was so cool and smart! So neat!!!! How did he not stumble over his words? I would've been so nervous but he just looked like a pro!

WTG dh!! :cheerleader1:

He looked completely put together and articulate compared to Stanford guy, who looked like he just woke up.

Very cool! I'm not into football and don't get the lingo, either, but I would be super stoked if my DH got to be in a cool t.v. piece like that!

Thanks for sharing! :)
