I've taken advantage of a few of Halo Heaven's sales and have a couple dozen headbands for DD2, but haven't come up with a good storage method. Right now they are all in a big ziploc bag, but I'd really like to find a way to store the where I can easily see all the colors and styles to choose from, instead of dumping them all out every day to find the right one. How do you store headbands? Thanks!

If you are the least bit crafty, you can make this headband holder. It has an open top to store bows as soft headbands. I made one and it turned out great!

Ours are in a hatbox - I bought a plain paper one at the craft store then covered it with pretty paper. It's been in use for about 5 years now and is still used all the time.

For a few of the soft headwrap-type baby headbands, I keep them looped and hanging on a pants hanger, one like this:

But now that I have a large selection, I'm going to move them to a swing-arm pants hanger like this:

When DD starts wearing the hard u-shaped headbands when she's older, I think I'll make this idea that I love from pinterest:

I made one like this for DD and it works great. She really needs 2 of them, though. Instead of wrapping in paper, I did it with felt and I really like the additional thickness and traction of it--even though she stores it vertically nothing slides off....I *think* because of the felt.

DD had her 101 hard headbands in a nightstand drawer along with clips and ponytail holders. It was getting out of control and hard to open the draw. So I took a bunch of old cloth diapers (that I had used as burp cloths when the kids were babies), rolled them up into a log that was just slightly smaller in diameter than her heandbands and secured the log with a few large rubber bands. I laid the log in the drawer and now all the headbands are wrapped onto the log. She pulls the drawer open, looks over her stash and easily selects which one she wants to wear.
Of course, I'm the only one who actually puts them back on the log. The girls usually just leave them out on top of the dresser.

I put all of the girls' hair stuff in a shoebox sized sterilite tub. It sits on the kitchen counter. I do the kids' hair in the morning while they're eating breakfast.

I made my holder. It's super simple and really cute (I think). I made an oval one for my sister when she had her baby girl about a year ago that matched her baby bedding.

All you need is a picture canvas (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/studio-edge-stretched-canvas-multi-pack-528505/), some batting (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/36-x-45-craft-batting-634279/), whatever fabric (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/apt3-9-serendipity-dot-240853/)you like, some ribbon to clip the bows to and some decorative ribbon/embelishment for the edges, and a hot glue gun (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/high-temp-mini-glue-gun-222497/) and glue sticks (http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/4-high-temp-craft-sticks-mini-glue-sticks-284257/) (or you could use a fabric stapler).

Here's the one I made for my daughter (though I have a LOT more bows than this...she takes them out of her hair and I have to round them up!). When she wore headbands, I just tucked them over one of the ribbons at the bottom and it worked great!

You just wrap the batting around the front of the canvas frame and cut off any excess, then glue the edges down. Then do the same thing with the fabric and glue the edges down. Then take the ribbon and criss cross over the front, or have the ribbon in lines going horizontally or vertically (whatever you like) and glue the edges down. Then glue any trim/embelish ribbon aroudn the sides. And then glue some ribbon for a hanger at the top to hang it on the wall. And you're done!

If I can get a picture of the one I did for my sister, I will post that one as well.

I have something like this, it is a plastic chocolate milk mix container. I peeled off the label and they fit on it just fine. I like the idea of decorating it, I was thinking of using colorful or patterned duct tape because mine is plastic.

Oatmeal canister. I covered it with paper and contact paper and the hard ones fit on the outside and soft ones on the inside.
