Would you get iPod nano or shuffle?

If you weren't concerned about the apps/internet options at this time. I know there's a big price difference, but once we upgraded her down the road to an iPod Touch then I would take her nano or shuffle for myself. FWIW, we currently have no iphones or mp3 players but DD does have a Leapster. I like the looks of the newest 7th gen Nano with the touch screen. I've also heard good things about the Shuffle but wondered if DD would like the Nano more with the touch screen (but they both seem so small).

I would get the Nano. I don't care for the Shuffle because there is no screen to choose the song you want. Plus, the Nano will hold more songs.

I got a Shuffle for my nephew. I much prefer a screen so I can see what song is playing, what songs are up, etc.
