View Full Version : Is the back support of the Turbobooster supposed to recline so easily?

I just put together a Graco Turbobooster in high back mode and DS2 decided to sit in it for fun (in the middle of our living room). Imagine both our surprise when the back support of the car seat literally fell backward with him in it! As far as I can tell, I have it hooked onto the bottom portion correctly, but there is nothing keeping it in place from falling backwards, aside from the hooks. I know our Nautilus does not do the same thing. I'm guessing that this car seat is intended to be placed against the back seat of a car, so Graco figured that it didn't need to be so rigid??? Am I correct? Gosh, it feels so flimsy and makes me nervous.

Thanks for your help!

Yep, that's how the Turbo is. Be careful when picking it up because the back can separate from the bottom. Totally safe according to CPSTs!

It allows it to fit best to any vehicle seat recline. Really disconcerting when you first see it, though, yup.
