View Full Version : How to freeze desserts to avoid freezer burn?

Hello, Wise Mamas of the Kitchen!
I need help figuring out how to bake & freeze some bars & cupcakes ahead of time so I can use them for a party this weekend. I usually just bake things the day before, but I'm trying to maximize my time to use Friday & Saturday for cleaning & making the rest of the food. :)

A lot of things (bread, some fruits & vegetables) that I've frozen in the past have gotten freezer burn; could you tell me what to put the bars & cupcakes in & how to do it to avoid that?
I'll be making some gooey chocolate & caramel bars/ brownies (German chocolate cake mix, chocolate chips & caramel inside them, etc.). Also some cupcakes (need to be frozen unfrosted, right?).

Hoping to bake today, then freeze and use on Saturday.
