I'm feeling stumped for ideas. Ds1 has the day off on Thursday, and I've arranged care for Ds2 and Ds3 so that I can spend some 1:1 time with Ds1. He tends towards sensitive and cautious. The weather is going to be rainy/cool.

We just finished a pottery class together, so I ruled out the Paint-it-yourself ceramics idea. We were just at a water park. I can't find a movie out right now that I think will appeal to him (only maybe Happy Feet 2). What can we do!?!

We usually got out for a meal and hang out at the playground and/ or a nature hike. However, what he loves best is going to the science museum without his brother! He can be in charge of what we do and for how long.

Go carts? Special pancake breakfast at IHOP or similar? Art or history museum? Volunteer at your favorite local charitable organization (pet refuge, homeless shelter, community garden, etc.)? Any community or college theater productions near you? Cake decorating class? Is there an aquarium nearby? Cook or bake something together at home.

You could do a charitable project together, like shop for and pack a couple of shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

DS1 had a day off last friday while #2 was in MDO. We went to see Hotel Transylvania. Very cute!

Museum that would interest him (because you can focus on talking to one another) and dinner.
