I think you would be hard pressed to get 10 years of hard use out of an inexpensive Ikea sofa. I think as a relatively short term solution, three years, it would look fine and hold up. We don't have one but have a couple friends with that model and it is comfy enough but they start to show their wear after a couple years of hard use. For ten year term, I'd look at some Crate & Barrel and leather.
