DS is very newly diagnosed, and I need some great books, blogs, websites, etc. to start educating myself & DH as parents of a child on the spectrum.
What are your favorites?

Thanks :)

The Thinking Person's Guide to Autism (http://www.thinkingautismguide.com/) is VERY science oriented.

Shut Up About Your Perfect Kid (http://www.shutupabout.com/) is all about support and humor for parents of special needs kids (not just ASD parents).

SPD Blogger Network (http://www.spdbloggernetwork.com/) is geared around sensory issues so it covers lots of various related conditions.

All three of these are also on FB.

Ten Things Every Child with Autism Wishes You Knew (http://www.amazon.com/Things-Every-Child-Autism-Wishes/dp/1935274651/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352228653&sr=8-2&keywords=10+things+every+child+with+autism+wishes+ you+knew) is a good basic starter book.

In case you missed the connection- Shannon is behind both Squidalicious and The Thinking Person's Guide to Autism. :)
