I generally won't recommend getting a convertible seat (such as the Radian) if you're not planning to ever use it rear facing, unless there are other reasons (eg narrowness) why it makes sense. And for forward-facing seats, there are other good options besides the Frontier, although the Frontier is a really great seat.

I'd try the frontier if possible and see if it fits where you want it. If not, then look at other options.

Just FYI, often people who have two seats installed in one car find that it can limit their options if they want to have the seats directly next to each other, while putting both seats outboard will pretty much guarantee that any seats will fit. So you might want to keep that in mind, and think about how important it is to you that the seats be right next to each other. (And I could be mis-reading your original post, too, maybe you don't intend to put them right next to each other. If this is the case then you can just disregard this whole paragraph! :))
