One of my childhood best friends just had her second daughter and she was 9lbs., 10 oz, and her first daughter was 10lbs even. I am just amazed. This friend and I are about the same size and my babies were 6lbs, 6oz, and 6lbs, 3 oz. . DD1 was 12 days early, and DD2 was 8 days early and weighed 3 oz. less. Both were 19" long. They looked like the newborn shot of my friend's baby at about 6-8 weeks old, ESP. DD1.

Both my girls were about 39 week (scheduled c-sections) and weighed 7lbs 5oz and 7lbs 4 oz. They were 1/2" difference in length.

DD was 6.15, born five days early.

I was a ten pounder but I was two weeks late.

Both mine were 38 weekers.

DS1 was 7lbs 15oz

DS2 was 8lbs 10oz

If I had made it to 40 weeks I'm sure they would have each been 9+ lbs.

DS was born two days after EDD: 9lbs 4oz, 22"

DD was born one day before EDD: 9lbs, 20"

I don't know whether this is relevant info, but I'm average height (5'4" ) and build and was 7lbs 7oz, 19.75" at birth. DH is slightly above-average height (6'2" ) and slender build and was 9lbs 6oz, 22" at birth. My babies definitely take after their daddy! During my pregnancies I gained 29 & 30 lbs, respectively.

DS had always trended the same as DH on the growth charts. Tall & skinny.

DD is... Big. LOL! She was 20lbs and 27"+ at 6mo. I was kind of a tank, too, but never as big as she is and I leveled off around preschool.

ETA: no GD for me, either. Both unmedicated vaginal births. Two stitches with DS and no tearing with DD. I felt awesome after I had her!

DS was 7lbs & 9 oz, 21 half inches tall. He was 7 days late.

His length took us back, as I'm short at 5'3" and DH is 5'8". It turns out the makes in my moms side are ALL tall, well over 6 feet with some topping out at 6'5".

Now I can really see it in DS, as he often looks like a 3 year old if you're not interacting with him before realizing he's not even close to that age.

He stands at 34 & half inches talk at his 15 months check-up!

I'm not a very big person, and my babies were 8lbs 4 oz (DS1 and DD weighed the same) and DS2 was 9 lbs even. All were easy labors. Tiny tear with my first (two or three stitches), no tears with DD or DS2. Not that they were 10 pounders, but I feel pretty confident i could have delivered a larger baby. As long as I can move around in labor, etc. I feel great, and pushing phase was short with all 3 (20 mins for my first, a few easy little pushes with DD, 2 pushes with DS2).

DS1 was born at 39w1d
DD was born at 40w2d (barely since she was born just after midnight)
DS2 was born on his EDD (40w exactly).

Both my boys were induced on my due date.
DS1 was 8lbs 10oz and 20 inches
DS2 was 6lbs 3 oz and 19 inches
Not sure why DS2 was so much smaller, but he was considered small for gestational age and had to have his blood sugars monitored frequently while at the hospital.

I was overdue with both. DS was given an EDD of Jan 27th, but I told the nurse to write down Feb 2 (knowing that I had charted, and that first babies are OFTEN "overdue".) He was born Feb 14th, 10 pounds, 8 ounces. And no, I did not have gestational diabetes.

DD was born April 7, but EDD was March 28th. She was 9 pounds, 11 ounces, and I still consider my delivery of such big babies (who both could hold their heads up at 1 day old) as one of my proudest accomplishments.

With DS I had an epidural and some tearing. With DD, did not have an epidural, and I tore along my scar, but I recovered so much more easily with DD than DS. I even hopped up to give her her first bath.

DD1 born at 37.5 weeks was 6lbs 10oz and 20" long, delivered fine.
DD2 born at 36 weeks was 6lbs 3oz and 19.5" long, delivered fine.
DS born at 38 weeks 6 days was 10lbs 9.5oz and 21" long, delivered by c-section b/c he was breech (I went into labor 1 day before the scheduled section, LOL).

DH was in the 7lb pound range, I was 8lbs 14oz. DDs remained tall and chunky (over 90 percentile) until about 5 or 6 and have now kind of leveled out.

DD1 is still slightly tall, and avg for weight. I think she has "bigger bones" like I do.
DD2 is avg for height and a string bean, I think she'll be petite like MIL.
DS looks like he's 4 and he just turned 2 and couple of months ago, LOL.

DD1- 6#5oz, 19" (2 days late)
DD2- 5#11oz, 18" (3 weeks early)
DS- 6#5oz, 19.75" (8 days early)
DD3- 5#13oz, 19.5" (2 weeks early)
DD4- 6#13.3oz, 19" (9 days early)

Both DH and I were smaller babies as well. I was in the mid 6 lb range (although I was 21" and all my babies are short) and DH was a 32 weeker.

ETA: DD1 was my only baby without u/s dating. I ovulate fairly late in my cycle, and I did warn them in advance. After they tortured my baby because she was SGA (small for gestational age- 2 whole ounces), I figured that I was better off getting early ultrasounds so that my babies aren't 'too small' anymore. I had adjusted EDDs with 3 out of 4 subsequent pregnancies (they pushed it back between 9-14 days) and with DD4, I was shocked that the u/s showed my dating was only one day off.

DS#2 8lb 4oz 21" arrived on EDD
DD#1 7lb 14oz 19" arrived 1 week early (I think may have been 10 days early)
DD#2 8lb 14oz 20" arrived 2 days late

I gained about the same weight with all of them. DD#1 I developed Hypothyroidism first trimester and hyperemesis (sp?) but by 15 weeks was back to normal.

DS#2 just turned 12 and is wearing size 7 men's shoes and is almost 5ft. Don't know weight but over the summer Doc had him off his concerta because he wasn't gaining weight.
DD#1 is still petite at just over 48in (she can ride the big roller coasters) and around 50lbs at nearly 9 years old.
DD#2 is over 3ft and almost 40lb (last time I checked in May)

DS#1 is my step-son so I have no clue on his stats

both of mine were 6 lbs range.

ds - 38 weeker - 6 lbs 15 oz
dd - 34 weeker - 6 lbs 1 oz (she was like the hugest baby in the NICU, lol)

with ds i had 3rd degree tearing...doc had to majorly sew me up. I CANNOT IMAGINE birthing a 9+ lb baby, i would have been torn to shreds. my mom had a natural birth with me, and i was a 10-pounder, and she claimed it was not very painful, um whatever.

DD1 9lb 3 oz 21.75in @ 40w5d
DD2 9lb 14oz 21.75in @ 39w 4d

I'm 5'7" and 155lbs before pregnancy.

I gained 30lbs with each. I'd like a third but OMG not sure I can handle another big baby.

All three of my babies were between 7 and 8 lbs. I don't remember the exact weights anymore, but the progressively got smaller...I think 7 lb 9oz, 7 lb 3 oz, 7 lb.

They were 1 week late
4 days early
11 days early

DS1 was 7lb2oz...9 days early
DS2 was 8lb4oz...11 days early
DS3 was 8lb6oz...11 days early

DS1 was my most difficult delivery...while the labor wasn't long (I dilated very quickly) there were a few hours of pushing before they brought in the vacuum. He was the only delivery for which I had an epidural. At 8 years old he is in the 90th percentiles for height and weight.

My labor with DS2 was less than two hours from the first contraction to cutting the cord. I was surprised that he was as big as he was. Now he is kind of a peanut...the smallest boy in his first grade class (but with an August birthday, he is also the youngest).

I knew DS3 was going to be pretty big (there were some issues during pregnancy which required several ultrasounds). I had a high-res ultrasound at about 36 weeks and could see that this one had huge cheeks and a full head of hair. At three he still has the chubby cheeks, although his body has thinned out.

I was 7.5 pounds at birth (9 days past my due date) and DH was roughly the same size. I think babies were smaller back in the day since moms were discouraged from gaining more than 20 or so pounds (I gained 27 with each pregnancy...I was nothing if not consistent...my charts for each pregnancy are practically identical, from monthly weight gains to glucose levels and blood pressure).

DS was only 7 lb. but I needed a c-section. His head size was off the charts - thank you, DH :). You could literally see a ring around the top of DS's head where he got stuck. He was 12 days early.

DS was induced at 40 weeks and was 8 lbs 7oz. I can't remember his height, but maybe 19".

DD was delivered at 42 weeks, and she was 9 lbs. even. She was also pretty tall at 21.5"

All of my grandmother's children were over 10lbs. She was 5'2" and very delicate. She delivered them all naturally at home with no problem. My great grandmother was 5'2" and hugely fat. She delivered 11 children naturally at home. They were all "big" babies. I don't know how big, but I assume over 9 lbs. Easy Peasy!

dd2 8 lbs, 3 oz at 40 weeks.

I was amazed at people who had huge babies..I mean really, some of them came out looking 3 months! Until I had my own..

My first was 7lbs 4oz (girl) and my 2nd was 9lbs 8oz at birth and that was a c-section because they were nervous about her size. If she'd come naturally probably a 10 pounder! No idea how it happened, I'm the same size I was before, no GD, nothing.

I was told babies come out however they're meant to. One theory was my #2 was nestled in good spot and getting tons of nutrients. She's evened out now but still 2x the size as her bigger sister at the same age. I kind of love it though since I love chubby babies.

DS1 was born at 32 weeks 2 lbs 14 oz, he was 15 inches
DS2 was born at 34 weeks 5 lbs even, he was 18 inches.

No, I don't see us letting our kids go 2 weeks past their due date. My sister did that with her first and ended up with a C-section after about 24 hours of laboring and she stopped "proceeding" (I forget the word. Niece was 10 lbs.+ (10 oz? I think) The other two babies were also C-section and Older nephew was barely over 10 lbs and second nephew dropped down to high 9s.

DS2 usually takes the cake on this - he was 11lb 3oz and 23.5 in long. He was 41w5d and still had to be evicted. No, he was not a GD baby and didn't even have that look. Apparently my placenta was big and healthy according to my wonderful midwife. He looked like a 3 month old for sure. He is pretty average now, slightly tall.

My kids were 8 lbs 2 ozs and 8 lbs 3 ozs. I'm embarrassed to say, I forgot how long they were. They were just about 40 wks, so no preemies here.

I should mention I'm 5'0" tall (or short, if you have to go there ;) ) However, DH is 6'3"

DD1 was 5 days late, 7.14
DS was 4 days late, 7.03
DD2 was 3 days early, 6.12

I don't make 'em big, apparently!

Not very big - both were just under 7 pounds each and they were born at 40-plus weeks, 4-plus years apart.
