Is there a way I can make canned cake frosting more fluffy so that it pipes out better for cupcakes?

Whip it? Add milk? Anyone had any success with this?

i beat it in the kitchenaid until it is about 2xs size. goes farther too.

I took a wilton cupcake decorating class and she recommended adding a few drops of water to the wilton frosting can, then beating it like hell before adding it to the piping bag. Works great.

ITA. It is a life changer. I'm a baker at heart and loooove to do home made but when I saw Lula's kindergarten class wielding these things and making super cute cupcakes they had me.
