How many Amazon orders for you this year? How does it compare to previous years?

For me, 16 so far this year. I will probably do another order or two for Christmas gifts and baby wipes (S&S), hopefully not more than that.

REALITY CHECK! I spent a while today looking through our Discover bill and realizing I need to better reign in our (mostly MY kid & house-related) spending. Amazon showed up a lot on our bill- didn't realize how many diaper & wipe S&S orders I've made over the years (partly thanks to the codes in the old issues of baby magazines... those were the good old days! ;)). Also lots of other random little gifts for our kids.

I think I didn't know about S&S and Mom until late 2010, maybe 2011. I did vote that my orders have gone down since last year BUT DH has a mom account so some orders have been through him and more importantly, DD2 is PTd so no more diaper and wipes orders. We've been spoiled with prime but I'll have to really think about whether it's going to be worth it in 2013.

I won't go check but it's probably in the hundreds for this year alone! I order a TON of stuff on Amazon. Just today I got 3 packages from them. I remember last year there was a thread about how many orders you had placed from Thanksgiving to Christmas and I checked and it was around 30 orders!

I'm currently doing a budget remodel of the boys' bathroom and have pretty much ordered every single item, besides paint, on Amazon. And since I have prime I usually order 1 or 2 things at a time instead of placing big orders. Just for the bathroom remodel so far I've ordered all my painting supplies, a light fixture, a faucet, toilet paper holder, towel holder, grout sealer, etc. And that's just in the past week!

I regularly order a bunch of stuff from S&S including vitamins and supplements, paper towels, tissues, granola bars, Plum Baby pouches, teas, xylitol, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, dental floss, mouthwash, bathroom cleaner, and dish washing soap. I also order most of our skin care products from Amazon-- DBF's face soap, all my face soap, moisturizers, and serums, and the kids' Vanicream. I order all of my Christmas, Easter, and birthday presents from Amazon as well. I hate shopping at stores, so Amazon is a godsend!

I just checked and in 2012 alone I have placed 239 orders!!!!! And I haven't even thought about Christmas yet, let alone buy anything!

I also buy stuff on Amazon for my housekeeper who doesn't have internet access. She tells me what she wants, I order it, and she pays me or I take it out of her weekly check.

In the past 30 days I've placed 31 orders!!!!

My first order was in 1999 - I had 2 orders that year, and 2 in 2000 - one of which was my Palm IIIxe handheld which I thought was SO cool at the time. I can't believe Amazon keeps order histories that long!

From '04 to '11 I ordered about 5 to 25 items a year. In mid-2011 I moved to Germany and found Amazon to be one of the most reliable APO shippers. On Prime things arrive in about just 1 week, which is about as good as it gets. Also as far as US items go I only have the base exchange to shop at and their selection is low and their prices are high so Amazon it is. 95 items and counting for 2012.

Hmm I actually thought my numbers would be higher than they are, although they are certainly not low or anything. :rotflmao: My husband and I share the account and both use Amazon a lot. PRIME definitely increased the number of orders because I stopped waiting to put in bigger orders to avoid paying shipping costs, so sometimes I place multiple orders in the same day.

I love having prime, but I may end up ordering less after July when we have to pay sales tax in NJ. I don't know how having to pay tex will affect the amout of orders that I place. I think I will still love the convience.

2009 is mostly subscription baby stuff with some work stuff and holiday at the end. We used a lot of online ordering and even Amazon Fresh on a nearly weekly basis because that was the vortex of crisis year- Cancer caregiving, death, funeral, PPD.

2010 and 2011 are mostly work related orders because the admin liked us to order from Amazon for whatever reason. Lots of business books and donor thank you stuff.

I'm at 46 for the year. That doesn't include much of any Christmas shopping though. But we have some crazy orders - DH ordered a new disposal for our house from amazon. Hey, the price was better and we got free quick shipping with Prime!!

According to Amazon, it's 18, but it was actually less than that.
I ordered birthday gifts for all my kids from Amazon and even if things were ordered at the same time, if they shipped separately, they counted as a different order. Some orders were separated into three or four shipments.

The rest of the orders were random items- a book for my Grandma, the next book in the Game of Thrones series for me, etc.

I do plan to place another large order in time for Christmas.
