I'm attending a cookie exchange in a couple of weeks. Last year I made a tweaked version of tollhouse with cranberries. This year I was thinking of using a butter cookie dough the making pinwheel cookies stuffed with semi-sweet chips and cranberries. No? I need a recipe that doesn't require many steps or tons of ingredients. Something with a sugar/butter cookie dough base would be nice.

I made these last year. Super yummy and one batch of dough makes a ton, which is great for a cookie exchange! http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/lemon-ricotta-cookies-with-lemon-glaze-recipe/index.html

I sprinkled some with green sugar and some with red, to be festive. Huge hit with my crowd.

I once posted a recipe here for Peppermint Chippers- basically a chocolate chip cookie recipe with crushed starlight candies in them. Really yummy.
