Play date question - should I call?

This is my first attempt at setting up a play date.

This past Wednesday, I sent an email to the parents of 3 children in DD's class to try to set up a play date on Saturday. One emailed back saying they have another commitment. I haven't heard back from the other 2.

Do I call to see if they're available? I know it's kind of last minute at this point.

If they haven't responded, I would probably let it go and approach it again another time. I might call someone else and ask if they're interested in a playdate for tomorrow though.

I'd call or send a follow up email. YOu don't want to make other plans and have them show up. Best to know for sure.
