Does this sound like anything to anyone?
DD1 (age 2.5) has had a rash for the past two days on her backside; not in the creases, and not over her vulva, but just on the outside of her rear end, like as if someone had spanked her (which nobody has, plus it's been there for probably 48ish hours now). It looks red and a little scaly, sort of like arm chicken skin, and there's no rings/etc. It doesn't seem to be itchy. She's potty trained, and she hasn't been exercising a lot/wearing damp clothing/etc (plus, it's not in any of the skin folds).
She doesn't have a temperature.
This afternoon she started having diarrhea and hasn't been eating much, complaining of her tummy hurting. The rash predates the obvious gastrointestinal troubles, though.
Should I do anything other than offering plenty of fluids and BRAT-type food? Is this just one of those random kid things, or does this sound like anything?
