Any tips for perfect baked potatoes? I was going to make them in the crock pot but I ran out of time. Mine have not been fantastic in the past.:loveeyes:

wash them, rub some olive oil on them, sprinkle them with kosher salt (just because the grains are bigger), and bake at 350 for an hour or a bit more. i don't wrap them in foil or anything, and supposedly a key is to go ahead an open them when they're done so the steam can get out.

The key is to cook them slowly in a low oven. I pierce them with a knife on each side, and bake them right on the oven rack. 350 for about 1 hour 15 min. I rarely cook them, but they turn out well.

Exactly except I do poke them with a fork a few times prior to baking.
