Convertible for a Honda Civic?

My friend drives a '96 Honda Civic and is looking for a convertible carseat for her little guy, he's about 6 months old. She'd like to spend under $200. Obviously space is an issue, because it's a pretty tiny car.

Any great ideas?

I have a 2008 Civic, so it's a bit bigger, but we are happy with the RA55. RFing it's a bit tight for the front seat passenger, (can't move the seat back very much), but I don't often have a front seat passenger in my car.

The new Britax seats are supposed to be some of the smallest front-to-back when rear-facing. As far as ease of use goes, especially when installing with a seatbelt, they can't be beat.
