The Magic School Bus dvds for the complete series are $30 on Amazon. I am considering buying this. Of course, I would prefer for this to be available on netflix streaming so I didn't have to purchase it! Does anyone have this set? Is it worth $30?

I bought this a couple month ago for $50 or $60 and felt like it was a good deal. My 2, 4, and almost 7 year old girls love it. I'm fairly picky about what my kids watch but I don't mind them watching this.

Agh, I couldn't resist. My kids seriously LOVE this show and I'm sick of the library copies sometimes working, sometimes not. DH refused to get it when I told him about this deal, he is at the point where he thinks our kids are ungrateful brats, lol. So, I am having it shipped to my parents' house and they can give it as a gift. They always ask me for ideas, so this will make it easier for both of us!

I went ahead and bought it. It sounds like it's a great series and worth $30.

OMG, not to vent, b/c maybe I am late to the game, but why is amazon automatically processing orders like that now??? I wanted it to go to my parents' address and didn't realize that when I pushed the button that it would automatically send it to my regular address and also we usually use one time use discover cc numbers. I wouldn't have gone through anyway. WTH?

I know I have been asked, after previous orders, if I want to default to our home address. I always said no. Maybe you accidentally said yes? You should be able to change that in your settings though.

Did you accidentally click 1-click ordering? I ordered last night and the order process was the typical Amazon one.

FWIW, I think you can probably contact UPS when you get a tracking number and have them reroute the package to your parent's house. IME UPS is helpful and responsive. Good luck!

Should I get this for my 2 year old? He only likes MMC and Thomas right now!

Thanks OP! I almost grabbed it at $35. Glad I held out.

geminimagk, he's probably a little young for it, but my 2 yo watches it with his older brother. I'd say 4 or 5 is probably closer to the average age where they'd be into it.

Thanks OP! This should go great, with the young scientist club kits, that were a previously posted deal... and now I don't have to check the corresponding book/video out from the library, each month. :-)

I was able to change it as soon as it happened (they had an edit option), so it will go to my mom's and I put in a different cc, but no I did not click on one click ordering as far as I knew. I rarely order from amazon anymore, but I felt like that was sneaky.

My 3 yr old loves the magic school bus. My older boys are 7 and 8 and still enjoy them. We probably started watching these MSB when they were around 4. It's worth getting and stowing it away as a gift for maybe next yr.

It's showing as 59.99, but on the right hand side I can still click sell from Amazon and add it to my cart for 29.99.

Does anyone know when and where Magic Schoolbus airs? I'm tempted by this deal, but if I can simply DVR shows for DCs to watch periodically, I might choose something else to use that money on.

We used to be able to watch it at 6pm on PBS. Then PBS took it off the air (at least where I'm at - no idea if it's local or regional). I swear PBS used to rotate like 4 episodes, though. The library has them, but they're so well-loved that often the discs are scratched and won't play all the way through correctly.

ETA: Ok, correction. I think it was QUBO, not PBS. I can't be certain, but I know we didn't have cable then.

Thanks for posting! Got ours. Really nice. We had only one of the dvds before and the kids loved it (an episode that had a lot of ants in it).

I went back to get more as gifts and now the Amazon prices is 49.96. So much for exercising restraint and only buying one set the first time around! Needless to say I will wait to see if the price drops.
