Has anyone purchased apple or pumpkin pie from Costco? How do they taste? How far out can I purchase them and have them still taste good? Monday or Tuesday too early?

I love their apple and pumpkin pie!!! The apple pie warmed up with ice cream - YUM. And I love that they don't overcook the apples and that it's not overly sweet. And the pumpkin pie is great too. If my parents/MIL weren't already bringing a truckload of sweets, I'd definitely be just getting the Costco pies:) I think buying on Tuesday would be fine.

You may need a whole table just to fit it. IIRC their pies are abnormally enormous.

Yes, and that's a good in my book ;) They are dangerous, for sure.

I make good pumpkin pie and stopped because Costco's tastes better, is cheap, and huge. It's really delicious. Not too spiced at all.

love their pies! And their rolls. I have a bag of their rolls in the freezer for thanksgiving!

Last year, 4 of us just sat around a Costco apple pie and ate it with our forks right out of the tin....yum.

(grrreat...now all I want to do is go to Costco!)

Just had their apple pie last night and it was DELISH. And I like to make pies (and will for Thursday) - but theirs tasted really really great.

They had samples of the pumpkin pie last time I was at Costco and it is YUMMY! It is also ginormous and incredibly cheap. I'd think if you bought it on Tuesday it would be fine on Thursday.

We always buy a couple of days ahead and they are fine. In fact, they are usually sold out come Wednesday! Get it when you can and keep it cool but not refridgerated. We always set ours in the garage.

The apple is mediocre. There is just too much crust, and it's not particularly good crust. Pumpkin is fine though.

Just picked up our pumpkin pie @ Costco for $5.99. Woo hoo! It says on the label to keep refrigerated.

What
I love about it is that the filling is light and creamy, tasted fresh and fluffy, not dense and heavy. The crust is also really buttery and has a good crumble. Mine had a ton in stock.
