Leappad or Explorer?

I hadn't planned on getting DS one, but the game deal drew me in. We have an iPad, so would you get him (4) the Leappad or the Explorer? I'm not sure of the differences and couldn't find much on the Leapfrog website with details.

LeapPad.

LeapPad has the camera built in and a larger screen. That was reason enough for me. You have to buy the camera separately for the Explorer.

As for that camera thing -- I thought it'd be a "nice extra" for my son and not get used much? WRONG. He's got a dozen videos on there and several pictures and was sitting there using the photo tools on the pictures while we waited for our car to be serviced this weekend! The only bummer was we ran out of batteries and I forgot to pack more :(
