Title says it all. I was looking on amazon and thought this had good reviews but would love to hear others feedback or recommendations.

I've been happy with all of the little people stuff- I really want to get this for DD1 but we have the other pink little people castle and 2 seem excessive- although this one looks SO much better.

DD LOVES her Little People House and plays with it almost daily. She also has this M&D castle and she loves it too. She uses her little disney princesses (the polly pocket sized ones) with it. It has been down to around $50 a few times recently, you might want to see if there are any deals for it.

Not much help, but I'm curious too. My 3.5 year old saw this at the store the other day and really liked the look of it... but I'm worried she might be too old for it.
I do have a 14 month old and think it might be better for her.

Would love to hear if anyone else thinks this would be good for girls 4+

Dd1 has this one http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Fold-Princess-Castle/dp/B001QKB6GK/ref=sr_1_5?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1353428966&sr=1-5&keywords=princess+castle+melissa+and+doug and it gets a ton of play. She added a bunch of these princess dolls and their furniture and accessories, which fit perfectly in the castle http://www.amazon.com/Snow-White-Princess-Favorite-Moments/dp/B002YVV2Z0/ref=pd_sim_t_76

Love the idea of a folding castle!! A little beyond what I was planning on spending.

Did your DD mind that it doesn't look like a Disney castle? I'm worried to shell out $75 and she'll say "this doesn't look like a disney castle". She seem to think Disney and castle always goes together.

At 4, I would not do Little People personally, but that is a cute castle! Mine were never into LP once they had figures that could move and be posed.

What about this one? (if you like Disney princesses)

ETA: Just saw an ad since I posted this for free shipping on the Cinderella castle using code PARKFREE--since it is a Disney park item.

Or this one? (Playmobil should have a long lifespan before outgrown--lots of fun details and easy to add to it with more of the same and other themes)

I just asked this in the bargain thread - thanks OP.

I also have been looking at this M&D one and was curious if anyone had it or a dollhouse in general to recommend. I agree that LP is great, but at 4 maybe she wants something a bit more detailed. My DD is also 4.

We have the larger M&D castle and it gets used a TON.

http://www.amazon.com/Melissa-Doug-Deluxe-Folding-Princess/dp/B000NKH0E6/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1353428055&sr=1-1&keywords=melissa+and+doug+castle

I got it 2 years ago from Amazon on a deal. I think I paid $40, so I would wait for a deal.

Eek, awesome - hope they have a deal this year! What dolls did you buy for it?

Also how do you guys compare the M&D house to the FP Loving Family house?

My 4yo still plays with Little People. That's the one I'd get.

Just FYI, the Playmobil castle has an INCREDIBLE number of super, duper teeny tiny pieces. Easily lost and easily swallowed.

I must say, DD has a LP happy home that's doesn't get much play. I don't know whether its LP or just not interested in a home. This LP castle really does look like the Disney castle.

I'm torn between the two I guess!!

Then its definitely not for us. DD2 is still 20 months and everything ends up in her mouth at some point. Thank you for posting that.

Lego make a Duplo castle (and other princess stuff), which might be a good option.

We have the Disney Cinderella one and imo it is adorable but doesn't hold up to rough play.

If this goes down that low I might get that instead of the Cinderella castle that I already bought for $39.

I bought the M&D castle for DD (3.5 years). I think the Little People one looked a little young for an almost 4 year old (so I bought it for DD2, since I'm 100% sure DD1 won't share the folding Melissa and Doug castle)

My almost 4 yr old son keeps asking for a castle. (He also has asked santa for a monorail and tram, so I'm sure he means the disney castle). I am planning on buying the Little People one if I can find a pretty good deal cause it looks so much like the Disney Castle. Hoping it gets some play, but also thinking he may find it too girly. He does play with some other Little People toys. I think it is so adorable and I can save it for whenever someone in our family has a girl. Just too cute for me to pass up!!

Melissa and Doug also makes a folding Medieval castle, which is more "boy" colors. I have been eying this one for my almost 3 y.o. dd so that her 6 y.o. brother will play with it too. No monorail, but still might be more appealing to a boy over time.
