When DS was little, he had a big plastic Fisher Price riding Lion to push around. It became an outdoor toy, and it's not coming inside again for DD. I'd like her to have a push toy, though. The Haba is attractive to me because of the seat (I can see DS pushing DD around), and the fact that it's wood and doesn't make a ton of noise. It's priced ridiculously higher than ALL the other walkers, though. Is it really worth it? Which walker would you recommend? I'm trying to stay away from big plastic items. I'd far prefer wood. The Radio Flyer walker looked good, but I don't like that it doesn't turn corners. What would you buy?

I got this for DD. http://www.amazon.com/Boikido-Wooden-Push-And-Play/dp/B0013IL6NS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1353432411&sr=8-2&keywords=boikido

I like that it has the little stoppers so it wouldnt fall on her.

I also have no interest in the big, plastic & loud so we are getting Miss Mopey this for Christmas - plus I love that it has blocks too, and eyes:

Have fun choosing!

Not sure how old your kids are but we got this for DS when he was little:

It's plastic, but it's well made and DD could push him around when he riding inside it, plus he could use it as a walker (well, the wheels turn so it's not technically a walker but it didn't take long for him to get the hang of it). I loved that I could raise the lever and push him as well.

Maybe not what you're looking for but it was a big hit in our house and an option. I got a good deal through a posting on here so it will probably go on sale at some point this season.

I bought the HABA one used on CL in like new condition and sold it when we were done with it for just about what I had paid. It saw quite a bit of use.

We have one, though it's for Xmas so hasn't been used yet. It's really well made - very solid and looks like it will hold up very well. More like a piece of furniture.

We had it and loved it! I've had it in like new condition (not for lack of use, it's made well) on CL for about 6 months off and on with no action. Still, I'd definitely buy it again.

I spent ages studying the options.
I loved the Haba walker, but considering it was 3 timed what I paid for the Radio Flyer, which was both attractive and functional, not to mention durable, it wasn't worth it to me. Also, it's life span as "favorite toy" is about 6 months. I sprung for fancier wooden trains, blocks, Kettler trike, wooden barn and will likely do so for a dollshouse, but the math didn't add up for a walker. We got the RF for about $50 on amazon and have been very happy with it.

We got this one from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40060836/
Not nearly as fancy as the other ones, but it did the trick. DD (2) still loves to push her babies around in it and to ride in it herself while DS (6) pushes her. It seems strong too - DS (who's not a small kid) has sat in it as well while DD pushed him (though he's not supposed to).
