Help!!! Anyone live near an AG store?

I'm such an idiot and I know this is a long shot, but I am hoping someone can help me. I also know this is a terrible time of year for shopping, but thought I'd ask in case someone will be near an AG store soon.

DD has been asking for McKenna's Cast and Crutches set since she got her doll in April. I planned to get it for her for Christmas and had it in my cart 2 nights ago. There was a free shipping code, so I waited because I wanted to ask DD if she wanted anything else. So, I went through the catalog with her and she showed me a few things. I went back last night to order and the Cast and Crutches are SOLD OUT!!! I am so aggravated with myself! I totally missed out by trying to save $7.95 in shipping. Like I said, I'm an idiot! I had no idea they would sell out of that item. We are new to AG, so that possibility wasn't even on my radar. At least not this far out from Christmas.

So, if anyone will be near a store and is willing to check for me to see if they have it, I would be forever grateful. If you are willing to get it for me, I will call the store for you to check if they have it first. You would just have to let me know which store. I will gladly send you the money via PayPal or however you choose, including tax and shipping costs. I've checked eBay and they are listing for around $60 now - ugh!

It may be put back in stock again. My girls wanted some of McKenna's things in September and the store had none of them in stock. The store ordered it for us from the catalog, and we had to wait over a month for them to be shipped. Give them a call!

We have the TRU version of the cast/crutches and wheelchair and it's great! Personally, I'd go with that.

Also, try calling the stores and asking for a personal shopper to see if you can have it sent to you. I've read it might work and it might not.

AG makes the "feel better kit" which has crutches and cast plus more. Dd and I looked at both the Fbk and McKenna's set and chose the Fbk because there was more to it. So if your DD would be ok with AG not McKenna specifically this set s still in stock.

:yeahthat: This is how we scored a Kanani after Christmas last year! I called everywhere! Some stores were more willing to help me than others. Kansas City was THE BEST!! Good luck!!

Also, on the AG board I read, people are saying stores have very, very little right now. So, even if someone is going to go to the store, give them a call first and see if it's in stock.

You can call customer service and they will check the inventory at the stores for you.

Thanks everyone! I called CS and they don't think anyone will have it. I will call the stores when they open. For those who offered, thanks, and I'll let you know. I have a friend near the Atlanta store and she will pick it up if they have it. Wish me luck! I'm so mad at myself!

I just looked last week (while DD1 was in the hospital ER) and it was still available with a back order date. Then I was thinking of just getting the regular "get well" set because it was plain and didn't have all of the McKenna references. I just saw the Journey Girls set on TRUS.com, but it is out of stock. I am hoping it is available in the store.

Get the feel better set. Truthfully its a better set. My girls love the arm cast alot...I looked at both and felt like this one just had more. Don't stress yourself out...I don't think your dd would be disapointed if she gets the feel better set.

Thank you all so much for your help and willingness to shop for me! I've given up on finding it in a store. It seems that it is truly sold out and I don't have time to keep calling around. Sorry you couldn't find it. I do think either the regular AG version or TRU will make her happy. DD picked out the AG version last year and got the TRU one and knows they are different, but she tells me she doesn't care.
