I prefer iPad Mini. If you're in the Apple ecosystem, they all just play so well together. Plus, my kids are young.

That said, which one to get is highly dependent on your specific circumstances. It's not a huge deal, but I kinda would like to wait on ver. 2 of the iPad Mini. Considering the other Apple tablets, I think the iPad Mini needs one more generation before it'll be able to withstand the inevitable upgrade envy.

Still, I'd consider it. It's form factor is soooooo convenient. As is the Nexus 7, but I have a lot of Apple products for a reason. I just prefer Apple's walled garden approach. Plentiful apps that are screened, are cheap, the OS is easy to use, the OS gets updated constantly, etc. Part of the reason a lot of folks sit on their Apple products is Apple updates the software for free/cheap. This drastically extends the life of a product if you're being practical about it.
