Tried Basin's Peppermint scrub www.basin.com/body-scrubs/ (http://www.basin.com/body-scrubs/) last week and loved it but at $30 a jar I passed. Anyone make their own sugar/salt scrubs? I would LOVE a tried and true recipe!

I just mix sugar and honey (use enough sugar to make a very thick paste) and scrub away in the shower. I just LOVE how nice my skin feels afterwards!

I bet you could do it with kosher salt and eboo and some essentiL oils. I use plain baking soda mixed into a paste with water in the shower. I saw it on Oprah.

Melaine makes one every year for Christmas gifts.

She shared the recipe she uses in this post from last year:

I have made one with Grapeseed oil, jojoba oil & vitamin E oil (all from Trader Joe's) & sugar + some drops of essential oils + baking soda (in the summertime). I don't have a recipe. I just started with one cup of sugar & 1/2 cup of grapeseed oil till I got the consistency & aroma that I liked.

Something like grapeseed or canola oil, kosher salt AND sugar, and some oil - peppermint, almond, whatever smell you like. You can squeeze lemon juice in too. Or the rind that has oil in it!
