This is my DS's favorite Imaginext set. We have gotten rid all the other ones except this one because he still loves it.

I picked this up in the store this afternoon for $20. I was so surprised, I thought they weren't making it anymore. My DS is going to LOVE this!

Ack! I swear it says "in store only" when I open it up even though the little description (when I search for imaginext) says online.

Thanks! YDS has asked for this so he will be very happy (as will his older brother I'm sure!)

OK. Totally weird. When I searched for it, the pages that I got would never let me buy it online. I looked down at the "what was ultimately purchased by people who viewed this item" though, and THERE was a link that actually worked to buy it online. Of course now that I'm going back to find a link to post in case anyone else has that issue, it's no longer there!

This looks really cool. It is showing in stock at my local store. Why wouldn't I be able to order online and pick up today? The pickup date is shown as the 30th.

There is one for $20 and one for $25 that is bundled with duracell batteries. Confusingly, the $20 also includes batteries, but they aren't listed as a separate item in that listing.

I think this looks so cool - trying to justify either getting it a year ahead for DS or getting it for now for DD but she is just starting to hit that age of feeling like some things are "boy toys" and I don't know how she'll react (and even if she hates it she'll still consider it hers and put up a fight to let DS use it - ah, sibling rivalry :p ).

We've never had Imaginext. Is it still fun for a 5 yr old? I think DS2 would like it, but all he wants are star wars legos and other things he can't quite manage yet b/c that's what his older brother has.

Exact same boat here. All the 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 YO boys we hang out with love the Imaginext stuff. My DS1 is 8 1/2 and never had any. DS2 is 5 1/2 and only wants what DS1 has, but can't quite manage the more complex Lego things.

We bought the aircraft carrier ship and a bunch of planes last year for Christmas. Both boys play with them. I am giving DS2 this space shuttle and the pirate ship this year. I'm opting to stay with those lines. Some of his friends have gone crazy for the super hero stuff, so we'll just play with that at their houses. I feel like he is a bit on the old side to commit to buying an entire new line of stuff.

Thanks, OP! Picked one up in store. Price was not marked. Will give it to DS2, but I bet my older DS will like it too.

I went to pick up my order, and right near the pick up area was 5 Imaginext Spaceship sets. I scanned it, and indeed it said it was $20. For those who missed this deal, you may be able to get it in stores. HTH.

For those of you who bought these at Christmas, werwe they a hit? My Walmart has them on clearance for $15 and I'm trying to decide if we should get it and store for DS's 5th bday.

We bought this for DS 3 or 4 years ago for $40. He had several Imaginext sets but this was his favorite and the only set that he has kept. He LOVES anything spacey and still plays with it often. I was just yelling at him yesterday morning to stop playing with it and get dressed for school:wink2: Totally worth $15 IMO

Huge hit with my 4 1/2 year old. He has taken playmobil animals and people for a ride and the aliens for his imaginext toy story sets live in the space shuttle.

A favorite here and one that all of his friends do not have so they play with it too. DS is 5.

It is a bit loud, none of the other Imaginext we have make noise - pirate ship and air craft carrier are the bit ones - so that surprised me.

:yeahthat: Definitely the loudest boy toy in our home.

I haven't given it to DS yet, but I was planning to take the batteries out first. :)

Ours already made a lot of noise in the sealed box.

My DS turned 2 in Oct and this was his favorite Christmas gift. He plays with it ALL the time. It is definitely loud, but it's in our play room so not a big deal to me. DS's loves the Mickey Mouse space episode so he loves putting his MM characters in the space shuttle.

We gave it to DS as his main santa gift since he told Santa he wanted a rocket. He really liked it on Christmas, but it hasn't gotten a lot of play since then. Maybe he'll like it more in time though.

Huge hit with my 3 and 4 year old sons. Though it is loud, I put tape over the speaker and its much better now.

Big hit for Boo too. In fact Punkin (who is almost 9) thinks its cool and fun too!

DS5 is not too fond of it. It just sits in the corner. I am thinking he is on the verge of being too old for it...it just does not keep his attention. And he is a big pretend play person with lots of imagination.
