Thanks so much for sharing! My trial membership of 1 year ended a few weeks ago and I've been in withdrawal. This will get me through Christmas!

Just FYI: I signed up using an alternate email address, and although it seemed to go through, a few days later I got an email from Amazon saying that they had determined I was not eligible for the promotion (presumably based on my name and mailing address) and they were canceling my membership. I'm sure some people have managed to squeak through, but Amazon is clearly trying to weed out people who have had prior memberships.
