Do 10 year olds still play with Polly Pockets? I have to buy a gift for a 10 year old who specifically asked for toys. Is PP age appropriate or is it for the younger set??

Hmmm...my 5yo is crazy for them. I'm not sure if 10 yos would be.

DD is approaching 9yo, and still lives them. Her 10yo cousin loves them, but isn't a nuero-typical child (and tends to trend 3-4 years younger than her chronicalogical age). Her 11yo cousin would just roll her eyes at such a gift... But that cousin is also a bit precocious....

My 10 year old has grown out of them. But, she has not really asked for any toys for Christmas so her interests may simply be different. Would a duct tape kit be considered a toy? She is crazy for duct tape.

I was going to say - too old but just asked my 9.5 year old what she'd think if she got them and she said "good, I still like playing with them". She plays with Barbies a lot but More with her younger sister than with friends her age. She asked for Lego friends sets for Christmas and those seem to be a little cooler for girls her age than the Polly pockets or Barbies. Her cousin who is 10.5 still LOVEs littlest pet shop and while we still have it out, it doesn't get much play.

my daughter is going to be 5 and loves loves LOVES pollys. she's liked them for over 2 years now. last year i would say she was "obsessed" this year a little less. she still told me that santa was going to bring her some pollys.... we're running out of ones to get to be honest. she's pretty spoiled!

i can't imagine this love lasting until 10 though. i think that the lego friends might be more appropriate :)
