Yes! I was going to post but then figured it might have just been my store. I snagged the star wars Lego calendar for 50 percent off. I didn't see any in the store, so I asked one of the staff. She said the computer showed two in the store. It took about 15 minutes of looking, but she finally found the two boxes underneath a pile of other items on a table with holiday books and toys. I was so excited to find out they were 50 off! I paid less than $25 with member discount. Was hoping to combine with another coupon, but I couldn't find one. If anyone knows of one, please post. I can always do a PA.

Worth a call to your local store if you are looking for a Lego calendar!

I wish our store had the Playmobil ones. I got one for DS2 last year and DS1 had Lego. I think they are going to share the Star Wars Lego one I got this year. We will see how that goes. :-)

I just called my closest store and all they have left is one Playmobil Post Office advent calendar. I put it on hold to get for DS2, but after showing it to him online he said he doesn't want it and only wants a chocolate filled advent calendar. So if any LA moms need it, it's available. It will only be on hold for me through tonight, so it will be available tomorrow (Sun). It's the Studio City store.

I got the post office and forest calendars thinking I'd do one of each for my kids but we decided to just do one this year and save the other for next. So we started the forest calendar last night and my kids loved it! Well worth $10.

PP, there are direct links to the products on the BN site in the slickdesls thread. I can't find / post them easily on my phone, but they are there and work. You can't search the BN site, it won't pull them up that way.

Are the Playmobil calendars year specific? That is, does it have 2012 on the box like the Lego ones? Just wondering if I should put one away for next year...

No they are not year specific. Just boxes numbered 1-25.

Thanks OP! I got 3 of the Playmobil ones at 3 different stores (all relatively close by). Of course the one I really wanted (princess) seems to be sold out in the whole county.

I used the "Pick up" feature last night, got an email/txt back pretty quickly confirming my reservation. Today I went to the checkout counter to pick them up and saw a couple of other reserved Playmobil and Lego advent calenders back there. All the stores told me they are sold out now.

I was able to get Star Wars and Lego City advent today. Originally the Star Wars one was $50. I got it for 50% off. They said that this was the more expensive one. So I bought both. You can ask the manager to see if they would honor the price. The manager at mine was nice enough to honor it.

The sale ended yesterday (according to my local B&N), however since I had requested the online Pick Up yesterday and got an email they (after some negotiation) honored the sale price!

I had to pay for the two toys via the phone though, but paid $21.42 for the Princess and Pirate Advent Calendar Sets! Woo hoo!

Oh boo. I was going to get one of the Playmobil ones for DS2, since the boys are sharing a Star Wars Lego one now.

I figured they would just stay at the sale price until cleared out for the holidays. Strange that they bump up the prices now, already a few days into December.
