Thank you very much Pintrest... I want to do the wrap all your xmas books and open one per night in December to read. But we only have about 15 holiday/winter themed books, so looks like I need to aquire a few more!

What are favorites in your house for winter/holidays?

So far this year we are rockin' Llama Llama holiday drama and The Grinch.

Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree! We just got Olive the Other Reindeer which is so cute but already one of the pieces messed up (it is a pop up book). I like the Golden Christmas Tree but the girls are just whatever about it. We love Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas but don't own it. I need to make a list, we have a bunch more.

We are doing the same thing this year. Has anyone seen any great deals on holiday books? I still need 6 more :-) I did find a couple at target dollar section and bought a few with the bookworm.com buy 3 get 1 free but don't want to spend a lot more $. Anyone find a good source?

Half price books has some decent prices on holiday books.

Our favorite this year is "Merry Christmas Big Hungry Bear" by Audrey Wood. It features the same mouse as the Red Ripe Strawberry book and is a great read aloud. Another favorite is "The Night Tree."

We r doing this too...I actually used a bunch of library books! Our library has an awesome collection of holiday books. I wrapped those in newspaper along with the books we own and wrapped the new books I bought in wrapping paper.

Thanks all! These are great suggestions. I'm going to grab a few and weed out the bombs we currently have. So many I have wrapped are just winter themed like "Katy and the Big Snow" and "That's not my Penguin".

Love the library idea too!! Great way to trial some new ones!!

We are finally in a house this year, so trying to start some holiday traditions that don't include piles of presents christmas day.

Keep 'em coming!
