I am on the fund raising committee for DS's school and we recently had one of those wrapping paper and other crap fund raisers. I volunteered to take calls because I'm home during the day and I have been ABUSED over the phone by the other parents. I have more than once raised my voice and pointed out that, like them, I am only a parent and if they want they can run the fundraiser next year. Today I was on the phone for over 30 minutes with an old man who bought a $6 bag of nuts from one of the kids. He hasn't gotten the nuts and the kid "lied" to him about prizes, etc. I offered many times to just have the nuts mailed directly too him, an extra bag even but he won't do it. He just wanted to bitch at me. Buddy I'm not the kids mom or teacher. I don't know what else I can do!!!! Its gotten to the point I'm afraid to answer the phone.
