yes - we purchased that deal a while ago on a friends recommendation. It is good, but it depends on the age of the child. DS is 5 1/2 and I think the sweet spot would be 7-8 with this, although it is also good for older. That is not to say he does not enjoy it, but he would get more out of it. As a parent, the only thing I don't like is that I always need to add some sort of "staple" item to do the experiments and it is often something I do not have in the house, so it requires planning. Each kit has a theme and several experiment. For us, we can do 1 or two experiments while his younger brother and sister nap, so it is a nice activity for us. Then we set it aside and come back another day for more fun. That said, I have several set aside to bring out when he is a bit older. In sum, I like it, but my son is a little young to get the most out of it.
