DIY Nativity Animal Costume

I need to make some sort of a costume for my 3 yr olds for the Christmas pageant at school. I'm fine with construction paper masks/ hats and a vest or embellished t-shirt. I'm sure some parents will just buy a full halloween costume, but I'm more a DIY type.

I'm having trouble with ideas/ images. Anyone wanna help?

So a barnyard animal? What color sweatsuit /hoodie /shirt do you already own? That will determine which animal to go with. Then felt ears and tail and an eyeliner nose and you are good. :)
