The girl that we are buying gifts for in connection with the adopt-a-family program requested dolls. I would like to find an awesome deal so that I can get my money to stretch a bit further and get her more than one. Anyone know of any great deals on dolls?

She is 6. I don't know what kind of doll ~ my oldest is 3, so I don't know if 6 year olds are interested in different dolls than my little girls. I suppose just a traditional doll?

I think someone had mentioned in another thread Tuesday Morning having the Our Generation (knock off American Girl) dolls for $15, as well as accessories, furniture, and clothes for a good price.

This sounds like a good option if you have a TM near you. I would recommend an 18" doll for that age. TRU has a store brand too, which I have heard good things about. Also, you can find the Our Generation dolls at Target (for a bit more than the TM price).

Thank you for all your suggestions! We went to Kohls and got a couple Dollie & Me dolls. They were only $16.00 each. I wish they would have had the matching big girl outfits, but the dolls should work out great. Thank you!
