With DS we mostly used the Gerber Sip n' Smile sippy cups because I found they were the only ones that truly didn't leak. But that was in 2008. Anything new you recommend?

DD will start solids in January and instead of toys I'm putting eating utensils on her wishlist (we have a TON of toys from DS, and it's not like she'll notice at 5 months that Santa and the Grandparents gave her clothes, spoons, and sippy cups instead of toys, LOL).

I really like the Pura bottle as it's stainless steel. You can use sippy cup style nipples for it.

At that age DD2 played around with this sippy cup but really got a hang of it at around 9-10 months old. She was bottle fed (Playtex Drop Ins or Avent) so I think it might have taken her a bit longer to get used to, but these cups are leak proof:

We also had one of these, but she slightly preferred the one above:

She currently now uses the Playtex Sipster (http://www.amazon.com/Playtex-Sipster-Cup-Pack-Colors/dp/B000056JAK/ref=sr_1_7?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1355268627&sr=1-7&keywords=playtex+sippy+cups) or this one this one (http://www.amazon.com/NUK-Graduates-Learning-Tumbler-Football/dp/B005C8F5VY/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1355268504&sr=8-20&keywords=gerber+graduates+sippy+cups) (but girly and I got it from Wal Mart over the summer for about $6 or $7 two of them)

For straw cups I like the Nuby straw cups (http://www.amazon.com/Nuby-Spill-Flip--Ounce-Colors/dp/B000LK6KOO/ref=sr_1_2?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1355268685&sr=1-2&keywords=nuby+straw%5C+cups) (similar price at Wal Mart), but they also have some that have handles (http://www.amazon.com/Nuby-Handle-Straw-Months-Colors/dp/B000Y2GY40/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1355268766&sr=1-1&keywords=nuby+straw+cups), but we never used them.

Oh, and for silverware highly recommend the Dragon little spoons from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/search/?query=dragon) (I can't remember if they are the teaspoon or the coffee spoon), they rock for little toddler hands. I wish they made forks as well, but they don't.

Oh, and these bowls from Tommee Tippee bowl, and spoon set (http://www.overstock.com/Baby/Tommee-Tippee-Explora-Easi-Scoop-Bowls-Lid-and-Spoon-Set/7544041/product.html?cid=144220&fp=F&TRACK=CSEBing&mr:referralID=8601b640-43eb-11e2-b779-001b2166c62d).

Oh, good idea! I have a couple of Pura bottles so I can just get the sippy nipples for it.

Thanks! I love the Tommee Tippee bowl you linked!
