I am considering an infant seat for the winter for Ds3 who is already 10 mo and has been riding in convertibles. He is about 22 lbs and a little shorter than avg (I don't know his real length). No super long torso and our kids tend to stay real small

I tried him in a BabyTred Flex-Loc (the one with the triangle handle) and his shoulders are tight and head is near the top of the shell.

Would he have more room in an OnBoard 35 or a Graco? Maybe a Combi? I am avoiding the Chicco because of price. I can get a good deal on the OnBoard but can't try it in person.

How about the new Graco Click Connect that goes to 40lbs? Although I would be hesitant to spend over $200 for a seat that will be used about a year.

Combi (shuttle 33 or 35), First Years (Via? It's the Lamaze seat on clearance at BRU), and Onboard 35 are super tall (everything, and I mean everything, is taller/wider than the Flex Loc, so you have lots of choices!). Click Connect 40 might not be a too-bad price if you have a coupon.
