....but not North Face (they are worn by too many moms locally) . I'm not sure what brands to start researching. Stylish and warm, is it possible? Thanks

I've seen this one in person, and it's pretty slim:

I would also check Patagonia and Athleta.

ETA: This one from Athleta is super cute, but overpriced I think...maybe there will be an after-Christmas sale?

Patagonia -

Marmot -

But check amazon, zappos and other online retailers as the prices might be better :)

Love my Marmot Venus vest which I think they have renamed Jena this year.

I have the LL Bean fitness vest that was mentioned by TwinFoxes above and it is not bulky at all.

Thank you all. I really like the horizontal stitching on the Patagonia and Marmot vests. I'll have to put a little bit of research into sales especially because these two brands always seem to be excluded. Again, thanks so much!

The Patagonia nano puff jacket is very thin and warm--If I needed a best I'd def go for one of those. Prior season colors are easy to find at a more reasonable price from placesoke 123mountain or 6pm.

I've got the LL Bean fitness one and its pretty good, ESP for the price.

Patagonia is great but its the next North Face IMO. I love it but if you are wondering the next brand to be oversaturated its them. That said, I got a 3-pc system from Patagonia at 6pm for a great price in the spring and the puffer vest piece is very slim and flattering. Far less boxy than the NF styles.

The one I bought is the Tres Jacket, I paid $104 but cant find a link for the one that comes with the vest.

You're probably right about that Viba. I like the Dark Violet Venus Marmot from 2011 but I'm having trouble finding that one. I like the Tres in One puffer portion of the jacket. I'll probably have to bite the bullet and pay close to full price but I am checking into 6pm. I tend to sweat so jackets aren't good for me unless I'm out in the cold for a while. Thanks everyone.
