How to remove gel eyeliner without eye makeup remover?

I got some makeup done in Nordstrom yesterday at the bobbi brown counter and she used a gel eyeliner on me. Well, I do not have eye makeup remover with me & washing with water and face wash just gave me raccoon eyes. I managed to get that cleared off by wiping with some baby wipes. But the eyeliner is still there on my eyelids.

Do I have to make a trip to the drugstore or will something at home work?

Oil will do it. I use jojoba or any other oil I have (argan, etc) but you can even use olive oil in a pinch.

Baby oil if you have it.

I use coconut or jojoba oil.

I use a little aquaphor on a Qtip.
