DD has asked for these for Xmas. She played with them several times at aftercare. What I cannot figure out is how they put them together. I keep looking for something resembling a George Foreman or Easy Bake Oven, but all I can find is the beads themselves...

Like Perler beads? You put a bunch on a form to make a design. Then, you put wax paper on top and iron them until they fuze together from melting. Do both sides to get them to hold better.

I use parchment paper. when i used wax paper it stuck to the beads.

OP, the beads usually come with the paper to use with your iron.

yes...and they make fun christmas ornaments for grandparents, and even suncatchers, if you get the translucent beads.

Just beware not to iron them TOO long.... lest you melt the forms.. :wink2:

:yeahthat: Ikea sells a tub for less than $10. We're still on the same bucket of beads since 2009! We buy some of the special sets, too. And some of the single-color bags, because DD loves to make people, and it's tough to pick out all the skin color beads, so we just buy them already separated for those ones.
