We want to fly from the midwest to CA this February for a week. We have family outside of SF and the kids really want to go to LA. San Diego would be a bonus. If we are anywhere near SF, I think we need to stop and spend a couple days with the family.

What airport serves Disneyland?

How long does it take to drive SF to Disney? Will we need to fly?

If we drive, do the hotels around Disney charge an arm and leg for parking?

Thanks in advance!

A few years ago we flew into SF and flew out of Ontario, CA. We took about 2 weeks and explored SF, Yosemite, Monterey, Disneyland and San Diego. We did the Monterey Bay Aquarium (awesome) as a day trip from SF and then drove south to San Simeon (stayed at a great Best Western right on the beach http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g33039-d80074-Reviews-BEST_WESTERN_PLUS_Cavalier_Oceanfront_Resort-San_Simeon_San_Luis_Obispo_County_California.html l (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g33039-d80074-Reviews-BEST_WESTERN_PLUS_Cavalier_Oceanfront_Resort-San_Simeon_San_Luis_Obispo_County_California.html) ) for the night. We drove straight from there to Disneyland, via Santa Barbara (sadly that side trip meant we hit LA at rush hour and we also picked a crappy route). Anyway, if you drove it straight from SF to DL it'd be about 8 hours. Totally drivable, imo, I highly recommend the Monterey stop though.

We chose to fly out of Ontario vs LAX because I've heard LAX is a pain. Ontario flights were the same or less and the airport was a dream to deal with.

We are going to Disneyland in Feb. and I booked the Candy Cane hotel. No parking fee. We stayed at an Embassy Suites there too once and parking was either free or cheap. I don't think that will be a problem.
