I usually buy coffee cards for the people we give low dollar gift cards for because it will cover the bill. I hate to give a low dollar gc for someplace tht the person will have to come up with more to buy anything. By low dollar I'm thinking $5-$15.
Other than coffee cards (starbucks or local) where do you suggest getting low dollar gc from?

Panera is a good catch all for me.

Movie tickets or Target are my other go-tos.

We don't have Panera. I would use Jamba Juice, McDs, local ice cream or frozen yogurt shop, movie theatre.

I have some friends who are doing Dunkin' Donuts.

I've done Starbucks and the frozen yogurt stores before. And movie tickets (from Costco).

At my sons' school the room moms always provide parents with a list of teachers' favorites. I use those lists to determine where to buy gift cards. For classroom assistants, I buy $10-$15 gift cards to their favorite inexpensive restaurants like Chick-Fil-A or Subway. For specials teachers I give $5 gift cards to Starbucks.

I've done $5 gcs to Sonic--that's just about enough to cover one meal or else 1-2 shakes/specialty drinks. I know a lot of people like to drive through there during "happy hour" when soft drinks, limeades, etc. are half-price.

We bought a whole stack of $15 Target gcs. They will make themfor any amount. There's a lot you can get for $10-15 at Target - my pjs were just $7 yesterday!

I was going to say Sonic too. I love Sonic gift cards, no matter how small the value. I only ever get drinks there anyway.

We have QT and Racetrac gas station/convenient stores around here. I gave the UPS guys $10 to one of those last year. They can get gas, lunch, a snack or whatever.

Frozen yogurt, baskin robbins - there is an awesome local coffee shop and a local gelato store that I love. Also for kids the pottery painting place usually has a few things for $5-10.
